The 2024 PGA Show Was a Success!

Posted by EyePromise on Feb 7th 2024

EyePromise® had the privilege of attending the PGA Merchandise Show for the second year in a row a couple weeks ago. When we say it was a privilege, it truly was! The outpouring of interest, support, and curiosity filled us with joy and excitement for the year to come in the world of golf. Here are a few highlights from the 2024 PGA Show.

What Is the PGA Show?

First, we should establish what this show is about. The PGA Merchandise Show, fondly known as the PGA Show, is a trade event specifically for the golf industry that brings players, coaches, trainers, and more together to learn about the latest and greatest for the year. The event is typically hosted in Orlando, and this year’s show was no different. Learn more about the PGA Show.

Why This Year Was Extra Special

As mentioned, EyePromise attended the PGA Show last year. It was our first time attending, so we weren’t sure what to expect. The show was great, and we learned a lot about golfers and how we can help upgrade their eyes and their game. So, when the opportunity came back around this year, we were prepared.

During the show, we spoke to hundreds of patrons about the importance of eye health and nutrition for golf performance. It’s a conversation that isn’t had a lot, but it certainly sparked a lot of interest! During these conversations, we brought up how the macular pigment acts like internal sunglasses, heightening the definition we see, and how we can measure theirs in less than 3 minutes. Over the course of the 3-day show, we measured over 200 attendees’ MPOD!

The Presentation

In addition to our booth presence, we also had the opportunity to present at the TPI Wellness Stage. Our esteemed partner and Scientific Advisory Board member Nathan Lighthizer, OD, shared the importance of vision in golf. His perspective is unique, as he is a former collegiate golfer who is now an optometrist and sports vision enthusiast. Dr. Lighthizer detailed how vision impacts the game of golf, how MPOD impacts visual performance on and off the course, and how EyePromise can help both.

Beyond the presentation, Dr. Lighthizer joined the rest of the EyePromise team off-stage at the booth, talking with fellow golfers and sharing even more education surrounding nutrition, vision, MPOD, performance, and EyePromise. It was a special opportunity for many of the golfers there to be able to speak with a leader in sports vision about their eye health needs on and off the course.

With the help of Dr. Lighthizer’s insightful education and product that’s been demonstrated to work, we were able to help many golfers begin their eye health journeys. If you’re interested in starting your journey to better visual performance on and off the course, get Vizual Edge Pro now!
