As the professional golf tour heats up, so does the grind to make it onto the PGA Tour. Many amateur and pro golfers participate in qualifying tournaments to hopefully stake their claim and earn their PGA TOUR card. For one young golfer, that wait is over. 25-year-old Dylan Wu earned his PGA TOUR card after a big win at the Price Cutter Charity Championship over the weekend.

Dylan’s Start

Born in Medford, OR, Dylan Wu was not always a golfer. He and his younger twin brothers started their sports careers in ice hockey. Dylan captained his high school team and earned best defensemen, but he quickly realized he may be a bit small for the sport. He also enjoyed the fact that his golf performance was solely on him.

“[With golf], all the pressure is on you. When you pull it off, you get all the credit, and you don’t have to rely on other people. It’s why I loved golf a little more.”

Wu now resides in Scottsdale, AZ, and has worked every day to make it on the PGA Tour.

“The last two years, I mean, playing 40 events out here, I felt like I played well enough last year to get a card but COVID kind of – there’s a lot worse things in life with COVID affecting a lot of people and luckily I was still able to play professional golf, but not getting a PGA TOUR card last year was really – it kind of hurt.”

The Price Cutter Charity Championship

As the tournament approached, Wu entered the week in 31st place in points with just 3 regular-season events left. He knew he had to make this entrance count. At the start of fourth round of the tournament, he was tied for the lead, and even a 2.5-hour rain delay couldn’t stop him. Wu birdied 7 of the holes, with 3 of those birdies coming in the first 4 holes. This not only boosted his tournament standings, but it also boosted his confidence.

Dylan Wu was named the winner of the 2021 Price Cutter Championship presented by Dr. Pepper. With this win, he jumps to 14th in points and secured standing among the top 25, which gave him his coveted PGA TOUR card.

Dylan’s Taking EyePromise Vizual Edge Pro™!

Dylan Wu began taking EyePromise Vizual Edge Pro late last year in November. After getting his macular pigment optical density (MPOD) tested last fall and receiving a lower score than he anticipated, he decided to give the vitamins a try. Since then, he’s noticed improvements in his visual contrast, leading to an improved ability to read the greens and an increase in confidence.

Dylan Wu’s adoption of Vizual Edge Pro proves what we’ve been saying all along: both young and old can benefit from nutritional supplementation. Specifically, you need the right blend of natural ingredients to improve your vision, and EyePromise has that optimal formula. In fact, EyePromise has several formulations clinically designed to combat different eye health issues, including occasional dry eye, screen time, and yes, visual performance for athletes.

Now, we’re not saying that taking Vizual Edge Pro, or any EyePromise vitamin for that matter, will get you into the professional golf tournaments. However, we are saying it doesn’t hurt! Also, improved visual performance is good for everyone, regardless of whether you’re a pro golfer or not.

To find out which EyePromise vitamin is right for you, take our product selector quiz! It digs deep into your eye health to determine which formula best suites your unique needs.
