Have You Heard About the Ascension Charity Classic?

Posted by amess on Sep 8th 2021

If you know anything about golf, you know that there are tons of tournaments that happen all over the world throughout the “season.” What you may not know is that the Professional Golf Association (PGA) makes sure to include different charity events along with their competitive tournaments throughout the year supporting more than 3000 charities. One of the newest charity tournaments on the PGA TOUR is called the Ascension Charity Classic, and it just so happens to be in EyePromise’s backyard!

Ascension Charity Classic

Presented by Emerson, the Ascension Charity Classic continues the PGA TOUR’s philanthropic efforts by supporting North St. Louis County communities. The tournament takes place at Norwood Hills Country Club in North County September 6 through 12, 2021. While its inaugural year was supposed to be 2020, it was postponed due to the pandemic. However, officials were excited to kick off the tournament by presenting each of the 3 primary beneficiaries with $75k. This donation marked the first for the Ascension Charity Classic and will help provide critical funds to support St. Louis and north county for years to come.

This charity tournament has drawn quite the crowd for both players and spectators. Our recent partner 8-time Order of Merit winner and Golf Hall-of-Famer Colin Montgomerie will be playing the tournament, and everyone has their eye on Phil Mickelson after his big win.

Why EyePromise® Cares

From the beginning, EyePromise has had a mission to give back. Through several organizations, we’ve reached those in need and helped to support them through their struggles. With this particular charity event, we’re proud to join its mission and give back to our hometown of St. Louis. Additionally, we strive to help everyone live life to the fullest by supporting healthy vision through nutrition, specifically eye vitamins. By participating in the tournament, we can share the importance of nutrition for eye and overall health and, hopefully, reach more people to help support their eyes.

We’re excited to join this wonderful event, and we’re even more excited to help our city and its people. If you’re interested in starting the journey to better vision, take our product selector quiz to find out which EyePromise vitamin is right for you.
