EyePromise has been busy these last few months! Since many of the COVID restrictions have lifted, our team was able to get back out there and attend some awesome events for even better causes. Here’s what we’ve been up to.

The ESPYS

EyePromise had the honor of attending the annual Excellence in Sports Performance Yearly (ESPY) Award show held in Los Angeles, CA. The ESPY Awards recognize individual and team athletic achievements along with other sports-related performances during the previous year. Winners are selected by online balloting from fans and input from sportswriters, broadcasters, sports executives, sportspersons, ESPN personalities, and other experts.

Unlike other awards shows like the Grammys or Emmys, the ESPYS tend to be more laid back and lighthearted. Though they have a similar relevant celebrity host, there are often comedy skits and humor thrown in throughout the evening. Another difference, a portion of the proceeds from ticket sales is on the V Foundation. This charity was established by collegiate basketball coach and television commentator Jim Valvano to promote cancer research. EyePromise was thrilled to help educate these extraordinary athletes on the importance of eye health for performance.

Kerry Wood Celebrity Golf Invitational

One of EyePromise’s local team members joined the likes of Kerry Wood and others as Ace Hardware presented the Kerry Wood Celebrity Golf Invitational. This annual golf tournament helps raise funds and awareness for the Robert H. Lurie’s Children’s Hospital of Chicago. In just 1 day, this organization raised over $1 million for children and their families who are cared for at the Children’s Hospital. EyePromise is honored to have attributed towards such a successful charity event.

Swing Fore Sight Golf Tournament

One of our newest practice partners, AEG Vision, invited our team member to join them the Northeast Ohio Chapter Prevent Blindness 27th Annual Swing Fore Sight Golf Tournament at Lake Forest Country Club. This event raises funds so Prevent Blindness can continue to help millions of people learn how to protect their precious gift of sight. Another cause that’s near and dear to our heart. We were more than happy to participate!

While we don’t know what the future holds, we look forward to more opportunities to give back to our communities.
